This subject can cover a number of financial situations that our Financial Counsellor can provide assistance to unravel complex matters. The most basic household income and expenditure of everyday living can be organised and ensure rent, electricity and food are budgeted for.

Other regular household expenses cannot be overlooked when arranging a household budget, such as, medical, vehicle, debt repayment, school fees and other essential bill payments. When it comes to WINZ benefits, entitlements will be reviewed and managed.

Debt repayments can cause a strain on household budgets and solutions will be investigated. These solutions can range from a refinance, negotiations with lenders or other repayment plans.

In some cases, debt maybe repaid using Kiwi savings. In the circumstance of financial hardship, a case could be made for a Kiwi savings Hardship withdrawal. Each case of hardship is treated on its merits and our Financial Counsellor will discuss and assist with the procedures associated with a Kiwi saver withdrawal.

Other debt solutions include Insolvency procedures, but this solution is used in extreme cases of financial hardship and are no entered into lightly. This solution can have an effect on credit ratings and a possible effect on future lending applications.
