How to get help for someone else
If you think someone else needs help you are welcome to refer them to us. Preferably you would let the other person know that you are contacting us, and you must have their permission before you provide us with any private information such as address and contact details.
Where appropriate we can help them in much the same way as we can help you i.e with food parcels and other practical assistance such as clothing, furniture, bedding, kitchen packs, uniforms and stationery.
To refer someone else for help you can either:
Call 03 389 7484 ext 2 and leave your first and last name, address and contact number, stating that you are seeking help for someone else, or
Text 0273589400, providing your contact details, stating that you are seeking help for someone else, giving a brief description of the situation of need. Do not provide their contact details at this stage, or
Email welfare@svdpcanterbury.nz, or
Fill out 'Welfare Request for Someone Else' form below
A volunteer will contact you within 2 working days to discuss your request and to discuss an approach to the other person. No requests are processed over the weekend.
